Falling off of the bandwagon

Okay so.. I have been pushing this post off.

One of my runs a week ago was a hill run.. I decided to go to another town, because I know they have CRAZY rolling hills. I was feeling so good about my weight loss at that point that I really wanted to push myself. I started at a little park, and I ran for 25 minutes up and down hills, and then turned around and ran 25 minutes back to the park. Not to say I didn't stop a few times. I mean.. these hills were bigger than anything I will most likely see @ the Warrior Dash this summer. Anyway, the run felt great. I finished off with 5x100 strides. I was super proud of myself, and even went down . 3 lbs the next day when I weighed myself! (any accomplishment is an accomplishment!) haha!

Anyway, my next run was two days later.. I believe I managed to do that one. It was a very much less high impact. It was a simple 30 or so minute run I think. I just kind of went this way and that... However, that's where I went BLAH! 2 days after that I was supposed to do a 35 minute run on hills, and run slightly harder on the up hills. Too bad my work schedule didn't work out with the schedule at the gym, and it was the coldest day we've had in a long time. Naturally, I didn't complete that run, but wrote down what I was supposed to do, so that I can "catch up" on my training.. Two days later, yet again.. I missed my cross training work out. I had planned to do it.. but I had so many other things I wanted to do. So, I promised myself that after my mid-afternoon nap that I would hop on the bike despite the cold weather. Well, I woke up and ran to get stuff on (yes, I was actually going to do it).. I look outside the window, and there it is. That disgusting white fluffy stuff + a little bit of ice. Unfortunately, I had to go to work a few hours after that... So I had no chance of actually doing that work out.

so there is it.. Falling off of the bandwagon. I am officially 3.5 months since I really started running.. 6.5 months since I first started the Couch to 5K training plan, and I finally fell off the wagon.

That right there my friends is a dirty dirty post. This is why I just got motivated to actually complete my run today, so I must get ready and head out. (hopefully the weather is somewhat decent!)

Live Confidently.
